Franklin's Romantic Advice
by Richard Kimball
You see me standing tall above you yet
You do not realize what knowledge I own.
Many years and miles I have traveled
Watching you from nothing more than N.O.C.H
Focusing on the importance of life,
Was the priority of your thoughts.
But now, those who have most, desire more,
At the expense of those who have little.
Though my cousins tell me you are doomed
to repeat our greedy mistakes.
I hope that you will learn from them and know
that your first focus was most important.
Like the winds that quickly blow over me,
Your lives are as a minute.
It's how you live today that matters
with the test from Earth of all living things.
So follow those with true focus and heart
And put aside those things less important.
Don't follow your ancestors to their death,
But listen to one who understands well,
"Little we see in Nature that is ours"
and give to worry those who you love most.
You are only a part of larger works.
So love your life and live for those you love.
