El Paso Community College, established in 1969, provides educational opportunities and support services to anyone residing in El Paso, Texas and El Paso County. EPCC is a multi-campus institution serving over 27,000 students. The college prepares individuals to improve their personal quality of life which allows them to contribute to their economically and culturally diverse community.

Chrysalis is the annual literary magazine of El Paso Community College, El Paso, Texas. It was founded twenty years ago by the English Discipline, and has continued to grow over the years.

Our goal is to provide an opportunity to showcase the brilliant literary and artistic talents of EPCC's students, faculty, and staff, as well as diverse and creative members of our borderland community.

We have had works published from children to senior citizens; from emerging to well-known authors. Literary submissions are published in both English and Spanish.

Until November 27, 2006, Monday, we will be accepting submissions for our 2007 edition which will be released in April 2007. Also in April, we have a wonderful celebration of Chrysalis poets, writers, artists, and photographers as part of the EPCC Spring Arts Festival. After that, Chrysalis will be available at all EPCC libraries and at our main office located at the Rio Grande Campus, Room A-125.

We invite you to submit your work, and very much look forward to hearing from you.
